Standing in the gap for Israel report 04/06

I would like to start this report by looking at two pieces of Scripture.  The first is from Jeremiah and the second from Isaiah:

Can anyone hide in secret places so that I cannot see him?” declares the LORD. “Do not I fill heaven and earth?” declares the LORD.  “I have heard what the prophets say who prophesy lies in my name. They say, ‘I had a dream! I had a dream!’ How long will this continue in the hearts of these lying prophets, who prophesy the delusions of their own minds? They think the dreams they tell one another will make My people forget My name, just as their fathers forgot My name through Baal worship.  Let the prophet who has a dream tell his dream, but let the one who has My word speak it faithfully. For what is the chaff to the wheat?” declares the LORD. “Is not My word like fire,” declares the LORD, “and like a hammer that breaks a rock in pieces?  (Jeremiah 23:24-29)

Justice is turned back, and righteousness stands afar off; For truth is fallen in the street, and equity cannot enter. So truth fails, and he who departs from evil makes himself a prey. (Isaiah 59:14-15)

The world’s top human rights violator

UN farce

According to the United Nations, the most evil country in the world today is Israel.  On March 24, 2016, the United Nations (UN) Commission on the ‘Status of Women’ (CSW) finished its annual meeting in New York by condemning only one country for violating women’s rights anywhere in the world.  Yes out of all the nations that I could list where women suffer from serious human rights violations, the UN have decided that Israel is the worst country in the world for allegedly “violating the rights of Palestinian women.”

But why does the UN consider Israel – the only true democratic country in the Middle East – as the world’s top human rights violator?  And shouldn’t serious questions regarding their judgement, or rather lack of it, need to be asked?  For example, have Israel been guilty of beheading and stoning people?  Have Israel been found guilty of bombing civilian airports, burning churches, raping women and children, stabbing civilians, or axing people at prayer?  No, of course not, these horrors are however regularly committed in many of the Islamic nations, or by Islamic terrorists.  One has to also seriously question why one of the world’s worst human rights offenders is leading the U.N. human rights panel – Saudi Arabia.  Yes, that right… Saudi Arabia is leading the U.N. human rights panel!  Back in September 2015 there was fury after Saudi Arabia was ‘Chosen to head key UN Human Rights Panel’.  Was there not one compos mentis mind in the U.N that was brave enough to point out the obvious?  After all, Saudi Arabia did have a bad year on the human rights front during 2015.  It’s not that long ago that the Arab nation drew widespread condemnation for sentencing a blogger to 1,000 lashes with a cane for writing about free speech, and for its plans to execute a young political dissident by beheading him and publicly crucifying his body afterward.

The Saudi Arabian government continue to severely restrict freedoms of expression.  The authorities continue to arrest, prosecute and imprison human rights defenders and government critics. Some of those detained were prisoners of conscience. Torture and other ill-treatment of detainees remain common. Unfair trials continue before the Specialized Criminal Court, a special court for hearing terrorism-related cases, with some trials resulting in death sentences. Women face discrimination in law and in practice and are inadequately protected against sexual and other violence, and the authorities use the death penalty extensively.  As UN Watch executive director Hillel Neuer said in a statement recently, “Saudi Arabia has arguably the worst record in the world when it comes to religious freedom and women’s rights… This UN appointment is like making a pyromaniac into the town fire chief, and underscores the credibility deficit of a human rights council that already counts Russia, Cuba, China, Qatar and Venezuela among its elected members.”

The Amnesty International Report 2015/16 documents the state of human rights in 160 countries and territories during 2015. In many regions, large numbers of refugees were on the move against a backdrop of conflict and repression. Torture and the failure to uphold sexual and reproductive rights were key concerns. Of all the countries with a high risk of violations, Saudi Arabia, Syria, Egypt, Libya, Mali, Gaza and Guinea-Bissau in Africa have seen the worst deterioration of their human rights situation, according to a recent report.  Geographically speaking, nations in the Middle East and North Africa account for the vast majority of the countries in the “extreme risk” category. With state repression of protests and widespread conflict, Syria ranks highest among the countries evaluated.  With ISIS violating every right, and Syria murdering their own people, there are so many countries that head the long list of human rights violators.

According to Amnesty International, violence against women is rampant in all corners of the world. They state, “Such violence is a human rights violation that manifests itself in a number of ways, including: Acid Burning and Dowry Deaths; “Honour” Killings; Female Genital Mutilation; Human Rights Violations based on Actual or Perceived Sexual Identity…” and yet none of these acts are reported or found within Israel – yet they are found in many Islamic nations.  Amnesty International state, “Violence against women is a violation of human rights that cannot be justified by any political, religious, or cultural claim. A global culture of discrimination against women allows violence to occur daily and with impunity. Amnesty International calls on you to help us eradicate violence against women and help women to achieve lives of equality and human dignity.”

According to Wikipedia, “Human rights in Islamic countries have been a big issue for many decades. International Non-governmental Organizations consistently find human rights violations in Islamic countries.”  But get this, when the United Nations adopted the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (“UDHR”) in 1948, Saudi Arabia refused to sign it as they were of the view that sharia law had already set out the rights of men and women!  And yet on March 24, 2016, the U.N. Commission on the Status of Women wrapped up its annual meeting in New York by condemning Israel as the only country in the world for violating women’s rights, for allegedly violating the rights of Arab Palestinian women. On the same day, the U.N. Human Rights Council concluded its month-long session in Geneva by condemning Israel five times more than any other of the 192 U.N. member states.

There were five Council resolutions on Israel, and only one each on countries like Syria, North Korea and Iran.  Libya got an offer of “technical assistance.”  And countries like Russia, Saudi Arabia and China were among the 95 percent of states that were never mentioned.  It appears that no slander is deemed too vile for the U.N. human rights bodies that routinely listen to highly orchestrated Palestinian versions of the ancient blood libel against the Jews.

The sad truth is that on the ground, Israelis are being hacked to death on the streets, stabbed in buses, slaughtered in synagogues, smashed into by Palestinian Arab terrorists ramming their cars into Israelis, whilst other Jews are shot in front of their children.  And yet at the U.N. headquarters, 8,100 NGO representatives gathered from all corners of the globe, in addition to government delegates, and watched the weight of the entire world of women’s rights descend on only one country – Israel.  The UN is an absolute sham.

In the Arab Middle East, Muslims are being killed by Muslims and Christians are being beheaded by Muslims; meanwhile over in Iran public hangings continue to gather apace with horrendous consequences for 100’s of activist bloggers and people who oppose the ‘moderate’ Islamist regime. Then there’s Turkey, Sudan, Somalia, North Korea, China, Burma, Pakistan, Indonesia, Morocco, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, etc., etc… human rights violators all, yet accompanied by an almost deafening silence from those who frequently demonise Israel for protecting herself against such groups as Hamas and Hezbollah.  And of course, Hamas, who knowingly and willingly use human sacrifices to protect their command and control centres and rocket launchers and ammunition dumps – every single action of which contravenes International Law and is categorically a war crime. When you look at it rationally, it’s hard not to believe that the United Nations are biased – as they only appear to condemn Israel.

Whilst Arab Palestinian women are murdered by Arab Palestinian men and subjugated for the sake of male honour in the Palestinian Authority controlled areas, women in Iran are stoned to death for so-called “adultery.”  Egyptian women have their genitals mutilated and Sudanese women give birth in prison with their legs shackled for being Christians.  All the while Saudi Arabian women have no freedom and are refused to be allowed to drive cars. Yet in Israel, Arab women are free to drive, free to shop in Jewish shops, free to vote, and free to voice their anger for whatever reason at Israeli’s.  Isn’t it about time that something was done about the farce the world calls the U.N.?  As the prophet Jeremiah asks, “How long will this continue in the hearts of these lying prophets, who prophesy the delusions of their own minds?”  Granted, there are no prophets speaking in the U.N., but minds of delusion? That’s another thing!

Isis threaten London with terror attacks

isis_flag

According to The Independent newspaper in the UK, Isis supporters have released a new video calling for new terror attacks in London, Berlin and Rome.  The video, called “Fight them, Allah will punish them by your hands”, called on extremists to “kill (infidels) wherever you find them”.   After showing footage of the attacks in Paris and Brussels, as well as 9/11, the narrator called the previous atrocities a “cautionary message” to nations fighting ISIS. “If it was Paris yesterday, and today in Brussels, Allah knows where it will be tomorrow,” a narrator said in English. “Maybe it will be in London or Berlin or Rome.”

Clips of executions were played as an Islamic religious song urged followers to launch lone-wolf attacks against the “nations of the cross”, claiming they would be in revenge for air strikes in Iraq and Syria. What appears to be a video game simulation of the Eiffel Tower falling was featured, alongside images of a burned Union Flag and the Houses of Parliament under attack.  The propaganda film was released on Monday by a group called Al Wa’ad Media Production, which activists in Raqqa said supported Isis. Claiming responsibility for the bombings that killed more than 30 people in Brussels last month, militants threatened to bring more “dark days” to Europe.

Hamas Continues Tunnel Expansion

PLO terrorists

Various recent reports have stated that Hamas have continued to expand its tunnel network in the Gaza Strip.     Israeli security sources said the Hamas regime was upgrading tunnels as well as building deeper passages from the Gaza Strip to neighbouring Egypt.  They said the Hamas effort was meant to bypass Egypt’s siege of the Gaza Strip and ensure the flow of military equipment from the Sinai Peninsula. “They are digging deeper and longer tunnels into Sinai,” a source said.

Sources state that the Hamas tunnels now exceed three kilometres, beyond the one-kilometre buffer zone established by the Egyptian Army along the Gaza Strip. They said the tunnels were enlarged to enable passage by trucks – which sounds crazy – but these enormous tunnels, some of which stretch for almost two miles, are designed to traverse the security zone Egypt set up between the border with Gaza and the Sinai.

The sources said the latest tunnels contained electricity as well as communications to enable the rapid flow of smuggled weapons from Sinai to Gaza. But they said the rapid construction of the tunnels came at the expense of safety and sufficient amount of concrete. In many cases, they said, Hamas was substituting concrete with fiberglass.  On March 14, 2016 another Hamas tunnel collapsed in Gaza City near the Israeli border. Hamas said a soldier was killed, the latest casualty in a series of tunnel collapses.  However, the Egyptian barrier along the Gaza Strip has sharply reduced the Hamas weapons flow. The sources said Hamas was trying to compensate for the Egyptian restrictions by expanding military production.  Israeli Defence Force official stated that it has become difficult for Hamas to smuggle weapons into the Gaza Strip and that it is difficult for them to attack Israel, because Israel had delivered a serious blow to them, but they are determined to maintain the capability of attacking Israel, and they do everything they can to manufacture weapons and rockets.

Jericho’s air-con goes AWOL

As I mentioned in last week’s report, British aid to the Palestinian Authority (PA) from 2011-2015 exceeded 550 million dollars (even though last year the British government had to borrow £70 billion).  And yet with all this aid, the PA is refusing to pay their electricity bill.   Now if I refused to pay my electricity bill, I would get ‘cut off’ and taken to court. Well, even though Israel will no doubt be condemned by those failing to take the whole situation into account, it has been compelled to cut power to the ancient city of Jericho over a massive unpaid electric bill.

Apparently, the Palestinian Authority currently owes the Israel Electric Company over 1.7 billion shekels ($450 million). In yet another effort to force the Palestinian leadership to pay up, power will be cut intermittently to Jericho in the coming days. Israel has tried in the past to get the Palestinian Authority to honour its debts, only to be condemned by the US State Department.  In many ways, this is just one more reason that confirms for many Israelis why the two-state solution as it stands will not lead to peace. A Palestinian state will remain wholly dependent on Israel for even basic needs like electricity, but will fail to pay for those services, confident that the international community would never allow Israel to demand recompense.

israel flagmovingTake action: Irrespective of what people think and what the UN and politicians declare, the Lord has clearly outlined His purpose for Israel in His Word. Israel and the Jewish people are to be a testimony to His very existence, His character and His faithfulness. In essence, they prove that His word is true. Pray that God will bless and use Israel for His glory (Ezekiel 36:22). Pray for those in authority – as I’ve mentioned many times, Israel’s leaders face a spiritual battle as well as a physical one, and need much prayer. However we need to pray against, what are very anti- Israel decisions and diabolical resolutions against Israel by the United Nations.  Pray that justice would be seen and anti-Israel hypocrisy would be banished within the United Nations assembly.  Pray for the leaders in every sphere of life against any form of injustice and pray that truth would be seen to be acted upon according to the principles of God’s word rather than man’s corruption.  Pray too that the Church would desire to be a blessing, and not a curse to the people and nation of Israel.

Please intercede for the people of the Middle Eastern Arab nations. Pray that they would cry out to the true LORD God and seek His mercy. Pray that the Lord will raise up men and women who will champion the cause of truth and righteousness. Pray that Iranian Christians and Arab Christians will be able to communicate clearly to their own people the Biblical view of freedom, human rights, and religious liberty.

Excellent expose – shocking regarding the UN. YAHWE will protect Israel AND the British Isles in these “perilous times” in which we live, i believe, until the return of His Son Yeshua Ben-Josef, Sar-Shalom, Prince of Peace. ‘Maranatha’, come soon Lord Jesus, in Your holy Name. Amein.
